Cordova Club is now old enough that roofs are being replaced on a regular
basis. This message is a reminder that any change to the outside of a house must
have the written approval of the Architectural Committee prior to the start of
construction. In addition to roof replacement, any structural change including
decks, porches, house color, siding, windows and major changes in plantings must
also be approved .
The Chairman is Lee Crouch and he can be reached by calling 870-6026 or email
leecrouchjr@bellsouth.net,
Failure to comply could result in a resident having to stop construction or to
actually remove improvements already completed that do not conform to the Codes
and Covenants of our Association.
When approved, Lee will send you a letter of approval for your records.
All of our codes and covenants as well as the contact information for all the
officers, directors and committees can be found at our web site cordovaclub.org

The compliance committee has asked that I remind everyone about our covenant
regarding exteriorChristmas and holiday decorations. They agreed to extend the
deadline for removal due to the extremely cold temperatures we have been
experiencing but now that temperatures are back to normal, they have asked that
all remaining decorations be taken down by next Monday the 11th. Any remaining
at that time will be considered non compliant. Thank you for your attention to
this and all of our codes and covenants.
We would also like to remind you that our annual homeowners meeting is scheduled
for Thursday February 11 and will feature presentations by the Shelby County
Sheriff's Department on Identity Theft and an update on the Countrywood
Annexation Litigation pending in general sessions court. The annual meeting will
begin at 7:00 PM and it will be held at the Cordova Country Club.

The members of the association's compliance committee have asked me to call
all residents to remind them of our codes and covenants as relates to lawn
maintenance and landscaping. With the onset of Spring, weeds onions and grasses
are starting to thrive. Please continue to maintain your lawns and flower
gardens with the pride that you have in the past and help us keep our community
one of the most sought after in Cordova. Lawn trash should be bagged but not put
on the curb until the night before scheduled pickup.
All of our codes and covenants can be found at our web site www.cordovaclub.org
along with the names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of your officers,
directors and committee chairmen. There you will also find meeting dates,
minutes of past meetings and current financial statements. You are encouraged to
use this site and familiarize yourself with your Owners Association. We thank
you for your time and continued support in helping us maintain our neighborhood.

This is Jim Simpson. The compliance committee has noticed an increase in the
number of covenant violations as relates to trash and trash cans and has asked
me to call all homeowners and remind them of our restrictions. Codes read that
all garbage, trash and waste shall be kept in covered containers and these
containers shall not be visible from other lots, the streets, the golf course or
common areas. Trash and containers should only be placed at the curb the night
before pickup. This and all other covenants can be found at our website www.
Cordovaclub.org. Please adhere to all our codes and covenants so that we may
continue to be recognized as one of the outstanding communities in Cordova as
well as maintain our property values. Thank you and good night.

The compliance committee of the Cordova Club Owners Association has asked
that I call all members and ask their cooperation in observing our codes and
covenants with special emphasis on signs now that we are in the midst of a
political season. Section 4.26 of our covenants clearly defines our ordinance
which primarily prohibits all signs with the exception of one "for sale" or "for
rent" sign and expressly forbids political signs. We ask that you assist us by
voluntarily adhering to this and all other of our codes and covenants so that we
may continue to be one of the premier neighborhoods in Cordova. Thank you.

This is Doug Nunnery with a special message regarding the golf course. For
the last 5 years, all costs of operating Cordova Country Club golf course have
been paid by a very small group of its members. This group can no longer
exclusively bear the weight of this debt and the Cordova Country Club Golf
Course is in eminent danger of closing. Many Club members, Cordova Club
homeowners, and frequent players at the Club have expressed an interest in a
forum to openly, creatively, and productively discuss ideas for boosting the
financial capital of Cordova Country Club to keep it open. Cordova Country Club
will be hosting that forum this Tuesday night, September 30 at 7:00 PM for those
who wish to participate in helping to secure the future of Cordova Country Club.
You are invited to attend and are encouraged to invited to attend and are
encouraged to invite interested friends at attend as well.
Thank You

This is Jim Simpson of the Cordova Club Owners Association with two reminders:
First, dues are now past-due and our policy is to add a $25.00 late fee after
April 15 or 30 days after mailing date of statements, a $50.00 late fee after
May 15 or 60 days after mailing date of statements and a $500.00 fine and a lien
will be placed on the property if dues and late fees not paid by June 15th or 90
days after mailing statements.
At that point all delinquent account will be turned over to a Collection Agency
for remediation. All late fees must be paid unless waived by the board.
Payment of dues after April 15 does not relieve the owner’s obligation to pay
any and all late fees owing.
Second, we have all seen the commercial about unnecessary 911 calls. Remember,
The Cordova Club Owners Association web site (www.cordovaclub.org) has a listing
of non-emergency numbers under the Contacts button in the left hand screen
column; please book mark our home page and use this easy reference.

It is spring time in Cordova Club and we would like to remind you that
means two things. First, the community codes and covenants require all
owners to maintain their landscaping in so that the community has a
neat and trim appearance. Spring is the time to get rid of those weeds
and clean-up the scrub beds. Second, Spring is the time for paying the
yearly dues to the association. Dues are due on April 15. If you are
a month late a $25.00 late fee is added. If you are two months late an
additional $50.00 late fee is added and if you are three months late a
$500.00 fine is imposed in addition to the court cost and attorney's
fee necessary to place a lien on the property. Please remain in
compliance and don't pay late

All residents should be aware that we have had several reports of a teenager on
a dark red bicycle stealing items from open garages and unlocked vehicles in our
neighborhood. With the holiday season there is a propensity for this activity to
increase. We are asking all residents to be extra cautious and keep your garage
doors closed, your cars locked and alarmed with no visible personal assets, and
keep fences and gates closed and locked. Also please remind your holiday guests
and visitors to also be cautious and follow the same safety precautions. Please
report any suspicious activities to the police and to the Cordova Club Owners
Association.
Thank you and have a happy and safe holiday season.

Recently, persons making telephone solicitation for house number
painting on the curb, have indicated that their Company had the Cordova
Club Owners Association's permission to do this work in our community.

Club Owners Association never makes an endorsement of any product or
Services and in no way warrants the provision or the product of any
